Sewer Pipe Assessment and Rehabilitation

Spiral Wound Lining (SPR)
We provide spiral wound lining to rehabilitate/repair pipes of diameters ranging from 375mm dia to 2500mm dia . Spiral wound lining is currently a trenchless method of repairing large diameter pipes. The Sekisui SPR method consists of a rigid PVC profile which is spirally wound into an exisitng pipeline. Successive wraps of profile are locked together and the annular space between the liner and the existing pipe is grouted. The result is a strong composite pipe integrated with the existing pipeline.

Two winding methods can be used depending on the site conditions. These are the "pushing" machine and the"Self-Winding" machine winding method.

The fundamental steps of the SPR method are:
  • Cleaning of host pipe
  • Winding the liner and
  • Grouting the annular space
